Day 1: Visit the legendary city of Axum, in the North of Ethiopia

Itinerary

  • Departure from Bole airport
  • Our team will welcome you on your arrival at Axum

  • We will head to the coronation yard and the stelae park, before visiting St. Mary’s Church, the sanctuary chapel which, according to legends, is the repository for the ‘Ark of the covenant’
  • We will then visit the tombs of Kaleb and his son Gebre Meskel, and Dungur Palace, the ruins of Queen Sheba’s palace 
  • Dinner


Day 2: Explore Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia

Itinerary

  • After breakfast, you will fly to Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia
  • We could either do a partial tour of the city, or you could spend the day shopping and relaxing
  • If you have a flight to catch in the afternoon, we will drive you to the airport
